Flight
It’s fair to say that Flight, our Blue Merle Border Collie wasn’t the easiest dog to have around.
Having come to us from a rescue kennel, which had taken him in when this original owner was unable to look after him, he had little contact with humans so was always wary of people and sometimes tended to be aggressive with strangers.
However once he had made friends with you, which usually involved playing Frisbee or chasing a ball, that was it friends for life!
As Flight grew older we began to think of another, replacement dog, for the fateful day when we wouldn’t be around, so we paired him up with a friends border collie and between them produced us Zak a classically marked Black and White Border Collie.
Having one collie is quiet enough but two ….
They were a joy to watch chasing each other across fields, through rivers or chasing squirrels up trees, so when Zak passed away at the tender age of 8 Flight was left to face life without his mate.
Flight lived until he was 15 and matured and mellowed as he grew old gracefully. Once Zak had gone he no longer needed to be “top dog” and he began to relax and see humans as friends and would wander off around the neighbours for a biscuit as often as he could slip away.
Flight despite his earlier problems was a very special dog, highly intelligent, loving and great company.
Although we have another dog now, we still miss Flight, all the great times we all had together.

Mono
This is a picture of Mono short for Monchrome. She was a Black and White British shorthaired Cat.
Like most cats her favourite past time was to sleep. Normally on the sofa, bed or garden wall especially when the sun was on her.
She was just over two years old when she was injured by a car and we had to “put her to sleep”
She was a loving, warm, compact bundle of fun who loved to play with anything, including toes and had a taste for insects that happened to stray into her path.
We miss her terribly.
